How to delete your account

1. On the website: sign in and open Delete account (it is also under Help & support on your account page).
2. In the aAlabu app: open your account and choose Delete account.

You will be asked to confirm it is you (your password, or a recent sign-in with Google or Apple). Deleting is permanent: you cannot undo it.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in: password, linked Google or Apple sign-in, and every signed-in app session.
• Your name and email on the account. The account itself is closed and can never be signed in to again.

What we keep

A booking is a record that we and the property may be required to keep. Deleting your account does not cancel a booking, refund a payment or hand a booking to anyone else. We keep:

• your bookings, with the details given when booking (name, email, phone, special requests), payment and refund records, and any messages sent about a booking;
• a minimal record that the account was deleted (no name or email in it).

These records stay attached to the booking, not to a usable account, and they are not reconnected if someone later signs up with the same email address. We have not yet fixed how long each kind of record is kept; see the Privacy Policy.

When we cannot delete it straight away

We keep the account until these are finished, so that nothing owed to you or to a property is lost:

• a booking whose stay has not ended (a stay counts until its check-out day);
• a payment still being processed, or a refund not yet settled;
• a change to a booking that is still being decided or paid.

Delete Account tells you which one applies. Once it is finished you can delete the account yourself, or you can ask us.

Asking us to delete your account

If you cannot sign in, your account is suspended, or you would rather ask, email aalabu@aalabu.com with the subject Account deletion request. Write from the email address on the account, and do not send a password or card details. We confirm it is you before we act: a suspended account cannot sign in, so we check the request against the account's email address and a recent booking reference if there is one. We reply to your request and tell you when it is done.
